A monumental week for all 'leather enthusiasts', Lineapelle's bi-annual leather event showcased the latest trends in leather, textiles and synthetics, accessories and components, for shoes, handbags, leather goods and leatherwear exclusively at the Metropolitan Pavillion in New York City. Lineapelle is one of the most important calendar events for exhibiting companies and attendees. Launched in 1981 it's characterized by its leadership in quality and style innovation. The Lineapelle fair is truly indespensable to the worldwide leather demand.
But what makes it so special being in New York in comparison to say London or Milan? We headed to the fair last week to find out for ourselves.
On January 30th around 9am Rachelle, a member of the team at Clutch Made, entered the Metropolitan Pavillion to explore. The show itself exhibits a variety of high quality leathers from the latest collections and suppliers, perfect for producers and designers of luxury and contemporary items. The latest trends and highlights are presented to attendees and what we love even more is that all exhibitors are certified to international standards in a variety of areas like quality, sustainability, social accountability and health and safety!
After exploring the show we wound up reflecting on how this can impact us positively as a manufacturing company of high quality accessories and leather goods, crafted in the USA. Lineapelle provides a greater opportunity to make connections within the industry, source quality materials and vendors who could become suppliers. Lineapelle introduces new materials and exhibits trends to look out for.
As you know, at Clutch Made, we are all about sourcing, developing, and manufacturing in the USA so creating better oppportunities for companies to do so is definitely something we'd get behind!
Our message to people with an idea is to start making with us today! Events like Lineapelle only grow our ability to contribute to the US economy and sustainability by sourcing locally, and making in the USA.
Contact us through our website today to get started and look out for our new online course you can even do from home! coming soon.
