The Garment District is perhaps one of the most central hubs of New York City. Everything fashion and design happens here and mornings in the Garment District are filled with bustling creatives, working professionals and lots of coffee.
Fueled by our daily dose of caffeine everyone enters their work world by 11am to get their day started. Want to know what its like working at Clutch Made? Here's the inside scoop.
As media manager at #clutchmadedotcom I am always in our Garment District office just before 9am. I like getting there early to get set up before a busy day. With my coffee from #bluestonelane I go through a daily checklist of social media content, newsletter creation, blog writing, website graphics and general media management.
But let's get down to the knitty gritty. What do we actually do at Clutch Made Factory? If you pop into our workspace (next door to our office) you'll find our head artisans working away. The room is filled with everything they need for any number of production requirements. From making ten bags to making ten thousand, our artisans have been making by hand in the #USA for years. No challenge is too challenging. The craftsmanship of our products is something we really pride ourselves in so naturally we have only the best crafts-people in New York City.
Every day you will find a new element of a bag or accessory being put together in our factory; everything #sewed, #stitched, #glued and #cut by hand. Even if there is something we cannot do in-house, we have over 30 years worth of contacts in the world of making in the USA. We outsource locally quality printing, branded tags and other elements when it's an item that our factory is not able to produce. Keep in mind we only use use only #AmericanMakers and #Americanproducers to bring to life every element of our accessories for clients. Only made in the USA.
At the end of a long day we head out on the subway home and get ready to do it all again bright and early the next day. That's what you call a love for what you do.
